What is a reasonable (or average) price to pay for a 46 gallon tank that comes with a stand and a fluorescent hood?

If it's a used tank I would say $75-100 sounds like a fair price, Given it's in "Good" condtion, EX: No cracks, Nicks in the stand etc etc.

the wal-mart here has a 46 gallon bow front with stand and hood for about $218. which is pretty good compared to some other stores that run well above $400 for the same set up.

My Walmart has a 55 gallon rectangular, with hood for $159.00 It also comes with a filter, an Aqua Tech 30-60, which is not really powerful enough for that tank, as it only filters 330 gph (I may buy this 55, and use the filter for my 20 gallon). It comes with other stuff too...food , a net and some other things.

Not sure on the quality, as I have never bought a tank at Walmart.

I saw a place online called glasscages.com that sells at 45 gallon tank for around $60 new. The only problem is that you have to go to one of the many trade shows they sell at to pick it up--they can't ship glass.

I'm actually debating a 45 gallon upgrade myself...having trouble tracking down an affordable stand.

I take it you have tried E Bay GF?, Or maybe Craigslist would have something in your area....Hmmm let us know if you find anyting, I will keep a eye peeled for ya....
