sad.gif I have noticed in my 10, the goldies are sucking up the babies, then spitting them out.. i dont know if their sucking the babies out of thier shells, or just scaring them.. but tonight i saw 1 baby cry2.gif I dumped some javamoss in there yesterday for my rescued cory to hide in (which he hates, thank you very much...) would the babies migrate to it? the adults are liking it...

or are the babies dead? or could they be hiding? *sigh* poor things... i read if the fish leave the adults alone they should be fine.... now i may have killed most of them! good thing I tossed some into the 2.5

not sure, if they are alive and they stumble upon it im sure theyd stay there, just i dont think theyd know it was there from the other side of the tank blink.gif

Normally,Goldies don't bother trying to suck snails right out of their shells.Their mouths just naturally swallow them whole. What size are your Goldies, and how many do you have in that 10 gal. tank?? I do find babies on my Java Moss, however I'm not sure if they were purposely looking to find it. Babies will float alot. You'll see that they're able to do that on the top surface of the tank,if you sprinkle something like fish flake food in the tank.Floating shells could also mean that the babies are dead. That can happen quite often with the younger babies. All it takes is your Water Params being ever slightly off.Snails are very vulnerable to water probs. Just to play it safe,I'd move the rest of them to the smaller tank. smile.gif
