His fin probably wont grow back.
Try answering all the questions from above please. We need the most information possible to try to determine what is wrong with your fish.
In the meantime, while you are waiting for help, try feeding your fish some de-shelled peas. They can be canned or frozen, just make sure there is no sugar or salt added.

Not very well which is why you want to try to establish what's wrong
There's really only one way this is possible and that's to supply as much information as you can. It paints a picture of your tank's conditions and by a process of elimination, will rule out whether it's a problem with the water.
So as gia asked, would you be able to answer as many of the questions in the red box as possible?
And please, post back soon

ok the tank is abut 52 cm in wide. Its almost full and has been runing for 3 years. The filters name is Regent (I think) and its 17cm long. I change the water once a month,There are 3 gold fishes in the tank there all 3 years old but cant remember there size, There is no medications added to the tank,I did not add any new fish to the tank, At the back fins one is missing,My fish stays at the top floating upside down she tries to come right side up but she cant so please help me save my black moor i really want it to lay eggs

Do you know what might help you the most right now? A 50-60% waterchange using temperature/ph matched dechlorinated water.
I have a suspicion that your tank holds around 10 gallons and if so, then you are a bit overstocked (rule of thumb is 1 goldie = 10 gallons) and as a result of this, your water will need to be changed more often. To give you an idea, I change 50% of my water weekly and that includes a jolly good vacuum of the gravel also. Otherwise the nitrates will be way too high. I have a feeling this is the problem you may be facing and high nitrates can cause a fish to flip over - which is why i'd do a massive waterchange.
Do you have any test kits? Otherwise is there any way you can take a sample of your tank's water to your local fish outlet and ask them to test the ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and ph for you? Then you can post the readings here.
So hopefully a massive waterchange may do the world of good
I'm not overly familiar with Regent filters - how often do you change the filter media? Do you rinse the sponge out often?
Please post back soon

Maybe it's floating because it has SBD and maybe that's why it looks it has eggs? My fantail died of SBD and he or she looked like it had eggs as well. Everyone here can help you more if you give a more detialed information on whats happening to your fish. Good luck.

I'm rather new to the threads but what i understand is that peas act as a laxative to the fish, you should (depending on size) starve your fish for 2-3 days and then feed them shelled mashed peas as this will clean the fishes system. i also believe that the pea method is the first thing to do for most fish problems as well as changing the tank water.
To me it also sounds as though your moor may have SBD (Swim Bladder disease) this is caused when air is trapped in the fish’s swim bladder (the sack that helps buoyancy). Lots of things can cause this to happen and in most cases it can be sorted out with a pea, raising the water temp and some medication(or so i believe). But I’m worried about the length of time you said your fish has been floating, Am I correcting in saying that your first post said it’s been upside down for a year?
Edit: keep us updated and i wish you all the best of luck!

You dont need medication for swim bladder disease. There is no medication for it as far as I know. I didnt know that you have mentioned you though she may have eggs. That may not be the case. I did not think that fish got bloated with swim bladder...mine never did...they would just swim funny. Anyway, just take the pea, squeeze it out of its shell so your goldfish can eat it. Feed her this for about 2 days. If that doesnt work, Id say fast the fish for about 2 days. If that does not work, post back and let us know if anything has changed.
Oh, and I guess I should mention, stop feeding any fish flake or any of the things you normally feed her.
If you feed her floating foods, this could cause your problem. Try a sinking food if the peas and fasting solve your problem.

Have you done your waterchange yet? I can't stress enough how much importance water plays and we still don't know your parameters.
So if you can, please test your water and do a massive waterchange. Montly waterchanges aren't enough especially when you are overstocked so the first thing I would do is fix this. Then as the guys have mentioned, try fasting for 2 days then feeding some peas.

gia_ekdahl: My LFS stocks a medication for SBD it's from interpet. I've never had to use it but i did spot it when i was looking for some meds for white spot.
