Man....I forgot just how much work setting up a tank was....and it also doesnt help that I dont know where my River Rocks are so...It'll have to be barebottom until I find them. I've only got about 2 inches of water in my 30gal or 40gal IDK Tank. And ugh Ive put in like 10 pitchers of water...Im seriously thinking of Putting water in my 10 gallon tote and doing it that way....lol But only fill it up until its not too heavy to lift. I wish I knew where my Siphon is. Maybe I can use bill..so I dont need to continuously go up and down stair using the bath tub to fill up the pitcher. X.x Whew. biggrin.gif Im going to get it running And all that good stuff....

I still need to do alot....X.x

Yeah.

Haha...I think I prefer buckets over python. Just..I dunno! I always have a bucket of water aging in my room for either my 3 gal or 10 gal. My 29 gallon tank isn't even set up yet! I think I need more buckets X_X

Many people pay huge amounts of money to go to a gym and lift free weights and to use the stair climber machine.

Just think of it this way - you are saving soooo much money and getting your valuable weight bearing exersize for FREE!!!!!

That's how I think of it! My arms have gotten so much stronger. A 30 pound bucket of water is easy for my to lift, and I never spill anymore (at least from the bucket lol) I used to be sloshing water all the way from the bathrub through the bathroom, down the hall, and into my room. flex.gif rolleyes.gif

With hauling all those buckets of water is not good for my back so my son is going to buy me an early christmas present. Python cleaner, biggrin.gif I will be so happy to not have to use buckets anymore. Some days I need his help, he is a strong 17 yr old, to help me haul the buckets to change water in my tanks. I hate depending on him sometimes, he is hardworking and wants his weekends for himself. Soon I will be able to do it in a short period of time by myself. I will feel better about that.

I do it 2 gallons at a time. I cannot lift that much at once, either. But it is great exersise and I have plenty of patience....Every day I do one tank - and that way I never do more than about 24 gallons out and 24 gallons in. I only have one tank that requires the stairs, though. Lifting water was my main therapy following surgery. It works well. smile.gif

The python is great - unless you are not using tap water, and/or you have either very expensive water or a lack of water. The python wastes a tremendous amount of water as it is working.

rolleyes.gif Apparently I'll be finding this all out.I'm getting ready to move out of my house to a Duplex, which means that I'll be not only breaking down, but filling back up a 75gal.,4-30's,20's, 10's,and some 5 gal. Betta tanks. yikes.gif For the first time in over 20 years, someone else will now be paying my water bill, and I dread filling all those tanks, and the constant water changes that I have to do. crap.gif I have a feeling that my Landlord will notice that his water bill will have sky rocketed! ohmy.gif Anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,,,let's hope my python can reach most of the tanks to fill up.And as Daryl said,Pythons waste ALOT of water when draining,so I may be using buckets alot more than I'm doing right now(which is still alot) Thud.gif

It's not uncommon to see me walk to the front door with full 5gal buckets in each hand. The hard part is dumping the poopy water away from the house. smile.gif

I don't think that buckets make it harder, it's just more time-consuming. Buckets can be fun if you play games in your head. Maybe it's just me, though.

Hey Anic, what kind of games? tongue.gif

I don't know. I just think of things like: how many of something could I fit in the bucket, could I dump both buckets at the same time, could I hit a chicken with the water (I've gotten a couple). I just make stuff up. It's kinda fun. smile.gif
