When I went to petsmart yesterday they were giving away full sized containers of Wardley Spectramax. Of course I got one but I'm wondering why they were giving them away. The store just opened so I don't think the flakes are old, that was my first thought but the stores only been open a week and two days.

Has anyone used this food? Are all the petsmarts giving it away? I know I should never look a gift horse in the mouth but I'm always wary of free food...

Hm, could be a promotional thing - being a newly opened store and all. I have never tried that particular brand of food. Since they are flakes, I would probably soak them a few minutes before feeding them. Other than that - let the fish enjoy their meal!
My Petsmart is about 30 minutes away from me, so I don't go there all that often. Have to check them if they do the free food stuff as well...
