OK, I have a moor about the size of my hand, and he is blind. I try to hand feed him, BUT he is also very stupid. He basically just swims up to the surface and swims around until I catch him and stick the food IN his mouth. Either that, or I can lay some powdered food on the bottom and he will eventually find it and eat some that way (which kills my water). I havent been able to teach him anything either, we go through the same routine every night and I am afraid he isnt getting much to eat. dry.gif

Any ideas? I was debating tube feeding once a week, just to make sure he is getting everything he needs in his diet. I can get about...half a pennys worth of food in him a night, which is next to nothing, but I cant keep his attention long enough to get more in him.

Maybe I need to make my own slightly soft fishy cookie I can stick in his mouth. Hrm.

EDIT: And he isn't overly fond of gel food, he wont eat more than a tiny bit of whatever I make. Maybe its the texture?

You can try flavoring his food with a little garlic - that should get his attention. Or soak it in a small amount of clam sauce.
If he is the only one in his tank, he'll find the food eventually, without it being eaten by other fish. If he has company, try separating him with a divider during feeding time. That way he gets all the time he needs without any "disappearing food"... laugh.gif
