I've decided to start fasting my goldies every Saturday and feeding them peas every Sunday << silly pea doesn't realise what he's agreeing to lol

2 of them figured it out quite quickly. One other accidentally ate one off the floor, but didn't realise there were any other peas there. The other 2 still haven't clocked it. I've got an aquarium floor covered with peas

I've got 5 goldies, so I put in 20 peas. I hope that sounds about right. They're between 3-6 years old and so are pretty big fishies.

hee hee! It took a whole hour, but at last every half-pea is gone, and every fish is happy and fed

My betta loves peas.I haven't tried peas on my goldifsh yet cause i got him last week, i'm gonna have to get more. I just happened to noticed that you have some gorgoues fishies.

I haven't had any goldfish for a long time, but I tried peas with one of my sickies once and she sucked them up!! Betta loves everything so he doesn't count

My betta hates rice though.

You probably shouldn't feed carbs like rice and bread to you your fish, it can expand in there tummies, even if its already cooked and made. I think I found that out the hard way..I fed white rice to a sick goldie and I don't think it helped her

That is so cool you have a betta, I've always wanted one - my boyfriend and I are moving in a month's time and so finally I think I might just have the space for one! *hops around* Is there a pic of your betta on Koko's somewhere?

I have a fish like that, doesn't realize food's coming in the tank so he has to hope the other fish misses some and get it from the bottom.

At least most of your fish are clueless to the new feeding routine, that means they all have an equal chance to eat!

My fish jsut loooove peas. I feel kinda bad for them right now because I'm treating them with medicated food for 2-3 weeks and can feed them ONLY their medicated food. So I'm sure they are wondering where their peas are right about now.
