I have noticed there are some really neat people out there who are great at making charts and doing conversions etc. to make them completely idiot-proof for people like me.

I am now fussing with my bottle of PRIME which I bought yesterday. I just want to know how many tsp or drops or ml per gallon. Has anyone figured this one out?
I really stink at conversions.
THanks!

It's 1 ml for every 10 gallons of water
Here's a link toothless provided me a while back....

I always used one drop per gallon. That is what it said to do on my bottle.

Thanks guys!
I think I may have added a teeny bit too much last night (added about 5 drops for 3 gallons) hope this won't throw things off too much.

Mine says 2 drops per gallon

You can safely double dose without any bad effects so its ok

Thanks! Weird that it says 2 different things on the same product

Are there different types of PRIME, made by different companies? Anyway, my bottle also mentions that it is safe to double dose in certain situations so as you mentioned, hopefully I should be ok.

Fishie looks fine this morning so I think that's a good sign!
Thanks again!

Do your bottles of Prime come with a dropper?
Mine didn't; I use my own.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one without a dropper

I use to double the dose all the time, just to be safe, and nothing ever happened to them. My bottle doesn't have a dropper with it. I just flip it upside down and count the drops that way. The come out slow enough.

If this helps at all 1ml is equal to 1cc. If you have any medication syringes around (without the needle), especially the kind made for kids to take meds with, you can use that to measure a ml (cc) if you need to be exact. I use the 10cc sized ones, but they come in all different size. You can ask at a local pharmacy for these syringes, they'll probably give you a few for free, they always have tons to give to parents with little kids. Dentsist usually have them too, although they often have a curved tip. I use them to do my water quality tests as well, easy to remove the needed tank water in exact amounts!
Also good to know, is that 5ml = 1 teaspoon. On my Prime bottle it says one cap is 5 ml, if it says that on your bottle (meaning it is the same strength), fill the cap up like 1/4 of the way...it should truly be 1/5 but as others have said, adding extra Prime will not hurt anything. So you could also use a 1/4 teaspoon to measure, again it should really be 1/5 of a teaspoon, but I have never seen a measuring utensil with that on it!
I hope that helps a little. :-)

I just wanted to say the type of syringes I was talking about are oral medication syringes-I left out the oral part, sorry! You could use a regular syringe with the needle off too of course, but the kind I was saying you could get from the pharmacist for free are for oral medications. I love using them for my water testing, no mess getting the tank water out and I get exact amounts each time. :-)
