Forum > The Goldfish Topics > Goldfish Tanks > Goldfish plants, & how to set up a planted tank
Kingyo
I just want to show you the latest picture of my planted tank... the otos and amano shrimp did the trick on controlling algae. The indirect lighting (window) has allowed me to grow Amazon swords (2), sagittaria, valisneria, and moneywort. The Java ferns are growing great on the artificial driftwood.

wav.gif Nice going Kingyo, a really nice tank. I don't think I'll ever be able to grow live plants.

Thanks! The tank is pretty small: 15 gal. I had the stand, hood, and filter from my old 10g so this size was perfect for me (same foot print as the 10g).

Koko, those fish are platies (born in my tank biggrin.gif )

Jsrtist, you are not alone... I might be the only one in this board who cannot grow Java moss. I have tried a couple of times without good results <_< .
