Ok I am not shure if this has been asked befor and i lack the paticence to go through 113 pages to find it.
here is the problem:
My fish has developed some red blotches on its belly, by the side fins and by the edges of the gills.
Acording to my wife it splashed bumped something and then she noticed them all of a sudden.
Now i know that gold fish can change colour is this normal or has my fish (its name is Pudge the kid picked the name) suffered some major damage?
My wife thinks it may be a broken blood vessel.
Can some one please tell whats going on with Pudge?
We have had him for almost a year now.

Sorry missed the questions on top.
Dont know about the levels as i dont have a test kit. Will be picking one up thoe now.
The tank is about 5 gals.
Using an ellite mini sub filter
Watter gets changed a bout every 1 and a half weeks.
there are 4 fish 2 zebera strips bout the size of small neons Pudge who is about 1 and a half inches And Spot a one inch gold fish.
we use a mix of cycle and goldfish bowl conditioner both by Nutrafin
the two Zebras and Spot were just added
goldfish flake food
nothing unusual in the tank and Pudge has been acting normal except for staying near the bottom of the tank. Which i thought was just him avoiding the new fish.
He did that with the fish that was in the tank when we got him then he beat up the old one so we had to remove it. He is very agressive for Goldfish. we thought the neww fish would stand a better chance as they are fast enough to keep away from him and the other one was kinda lasey.

Hi and welcome. I am sure I would'nt want to go thru 113 pages either so lets see what we can find out together.
Now as above you know it is necessary for us to have the levels above, so please post those when you get them.
Next we know that 5 gals is way to little for one gf let alone 2. So you have water quality issues for sure.
GF need 10 gals of water each, for they produce a lot of waste that can kill them. In a compact enviornment it will do just that.
Until you get the water tested I would recommend doing a 50% water change and test the water. This should help a little until we get it pinpoint what is the problem...........but I bet it is the water.

ok just tested my ph and its at 7.2
the store did not have any kits for testing the others
since removing Pudge from tank he has not eaten or moved much at all
the fish in the other tank are doing fine and seem to be verry active and are eatting good to
oh ya for the record Pudge is a common gold fish and Spot is a Calico when i get some pics i will post theme.
Oh ya the Amoina lv shuld be good as i have done the 50% water change and used a good filter to cut out the chems in the tap water.
