i have a lionhead who has been sick for over a month now, i have tried everything on the market here in australia, i have had this fish come good looking great on th eoutside, but i have a problem with no appitite at all, this fish has not eaten anything for a month now and is getting bad again, she is still active but i think she is suffering, and how so hasnt eaten anything is guess is a bad sign. whta do you think, i have treated her for parasites, bacterial infection also i have treated her with salt baths, and salt in tank, also with melafix and prima fix, then i have also treated her with fungus drops, and i have alos just left her with clean water, nothing has helped she has not eaten anything. and now she is getting pinkish and clouded eyes again

I've just had a fish with septicemia do well on tetracycline which are available throughout good lfs's. Science products make them as do some other brands.

It's an antibiotic that treats several types of bacteria that a broad spectrum (primarily malachite green) has no affect on.

What meds have you treated with?

Hi Pug,
Sometimes overmedicating can cause cloudy eye. Bacterial it is. If you can get your hands on the tetracycline as Jen mentioned. I suggested to her to make some into a medicated food for a double whammy, inside & out! Keep that in mind!

I don't really have much advice to give on treating etc etc. But I have confiedence that you will make the right decsion about your fishy, you see her everyday and know whats going on more than any of us do. Whatever you decide to do with her you know we will all support your decsion!! It seems that you have done so much already!! What a good fish mommy you are Puggirl...
