I heard you can hand feed your goldfish, is it true?

Of course Goldfish easilly learn that hands= food, and once they get used to you they will eat out of your hand. Other fish can do this too, I even hand feed my little tetras

It may take some time but they will warm up to you after awhile:) You can start with some peas or a "treat" that way they may be more likely to come to your hand.

Yep, they learn fast where the food comes from, for my Lilliath, it took her two days to work out hand mean food, then human meant food. every time I enter the room her tank is I can hear her slurping water at the surface, trying to get my attention! I'm almost trying to unlearn them (feeding at different times of the day) so they don't guilt trip me first thing in the morning!
