i posted recently about my comets sore eye and toothless thought it was probably a tumor and that it would be ok as long as it didn't grow or change. it has been the seame for quite a few weeks, then last night i noticed that it looks like it is bleeding internally, i'm also sure it has increased in size.

I would think you might need a vet to remove it, but as it has its own blood supply it may be difficult to remove.

do you think the fish could live ok if it wasn't removed? or will it eventually kill it?

With a blood supply all i can see is it getting bigger and then obstructing the view. As to whether or not it might kill him im afraid only a vet can answer that.
