Can i change my filter while i am cycleing? If i can you it sent me back and make the cycle lat even longer?

If you want to add a different filter to your tank, I would suggest either
(1) running both filters simultaneously until you can create a good bed of biobugs in your new filter; or
(2) take the existing media out of your old filter and put it in w/the new media in the new filter. This way your existing biobugs will colonize on your new filter.

You really don't want to crash a cycle trying to occur.

Good luck!

Do you mean change the filter media?

When I am cycling a tank, I gently rinse the filter media in a bucket of tank water to remove the excess dirt and debris, rather than changing the media. I only change the filter media when it starts to fall apart or get extremely dirty.

Please feel free to ask questions smile.gif
