hey guys found me a bannded cat shark egg,couple of more weeks i'll have me a shark http://photobucket.com/albums/a343/nomadfkr/

Is that brown spongey thing the sharl egg??

yep its all covered in algea helps attach the egg to rocks or what ever when you bring the egg close to the light you can see the shark moving around he is still small a little over an inch long and real skinny

When it hatches will it eat your other fish? blink.gif I really like your black and white ones there.

It will be so neat when the egg hatches! You will have to post pictures of it. How big is you tank? I have heard that kind of sharks need around 130 gallons! I wish I had a tank that big. smile.gif

the other fish will be taken out soon black and white fish are zebra damsels,cat sharks are cool this tank is 75gallons way to small the shark needs about 250 gallons.i'm looking into a bigger tank and looking into a part time job to help pay for it

My animal science teacher had a Banded Shark egg. A hermit crab got at it and ate it up. mad.gif

hey guys looks like maybe a week left. the little shark has grown alot he has stopped moving and his egg yolk is about the size of a marble hopefully any day now he should come out I'm gonna put the movie camera in front of the tank just in case i'm at work when he hatches i'll send pics when he/or she is hatched

We have one at work that we've been watching for about a month or so now. I think its still got about another month to go or so. I have seen them hatch and its really neat. Post pics when it hatches!

Hows Egg ? Saw some of these today they look stunning about 6 inch and £60 ($100 approx) the guy said you can also buy eggs but only to order how much was yours

krazy.gif SWEET krazy.gif hey everyone he just hatched a little bit ago my wife lokked at him maybe an hour ago to see if it was still moving we were starting to think it wouldn't hatch we ate dinner on the couch and then there he was i guess he is between 5 or 6 inches long pretty brown and black stripes he is cool as anything.So he finally hatched doing good for now i'll hope for the best. Padda i paid 40 US dollars for the egg,been 2months or so since i got it newfish.gif i'llget pics soon .gave no warning so i didnt have the cam on it

no not yet im gonna go to lfs today get some food for him or her,all the waiting paid off i wasnt really sure what would come out or if it would even hatch but he is pretty.

The reason some things are more expensive in england then they should be is because we will pay it as a race we will moan but we still pay extra even when we know we shouldn't have to eg cigarettes, alcohol, fuel, flights and now it would appear banded cat shark eggs smile.gif

he got a little upset with me taking a pic so i'll get some more later,S/he has been eating great i cut up squid into little pieces and feed him with long forcepts,it's fun watching him eat
