Wow, Loz, how come I never noticed what kind of trouble your fishies are in?! Thud.gif I am so sorry about Perry, poor thing looked really bad. sad.gif

Not that it helps now anymore (well, maybe for your Gordon), but when I saw Perry's ulcers on the first page, I was thinking of PP (potassium permanganate) as a topical treatment. I have seen big fat ulcers on koi go away completely within a 10 day period when the owner put pure PP crystals or powder on their ulcers. The fish looked purple for a week around the ulcers, but they were gone after 10 days. No sign of them whatsoever.
There is no chance of you finding PP crystals or powder in the UK, is there? sad.gif

What is PP normally used for? That might help track down what kind of store to look at. Maybe a chemist?

I've tried looking for it around Sydney and it's not easy to come by. I honestly think loz, if you can get your hands on some, it may do the trick. I also remember a friend whose prize koi had a massive ulcer on his back so he made a paste and coated the ulcer. It also turned purple but OMG, that stuff seemed to work like a miracle.

I'd love to know more about it and how it helps wounds and ulcers - it seems to be universally succesful in treating them.

Maybe it can be purchased online somewhere? blink.gif

Also, any news?
