Full Version: Any Ammonia Kits That Remain Clear If 0?

Does anyone know of any dropper kits that leave the water clear unless there is ammonia? I have the one that is yellow and then tints green with ammonia, but I have a really high ph out of the tap(8.4-8.6) so I am paranoid about getting the slightest ammonia and I always second guess myself on it really being that yellow.

Also, I have the test strips too and when I test, the strip remains the same color of yellow as it was when it came out of the bottle, but it's not quite that sunshine yellow on the label that indicates 0. My nitrites are always 0 and nitrates have been pretty steady at 20. I have 3 danios in the tank now, but I want to swap them out and put in a goldfish so I want to make absolutely sure it's ready!

Thanks!

The Hagen/Nutrafin ammonia test kit and Red Sea ammonia test kit remain clear when no ammonia is present, but both of these test kits will give false reading when used with Prime or Amquel water conditioners.
