Hi Guys / Galls:

I want to try out breeding goldfish and right now have two distinct pairs. After reading a lot about the breeding goldfish is there anything that is need besides the following.

I have a free 10 gallon tank for one pair.
2 big plastic plants
What are the kind of homemade spawning mops that can be used or are these readily available at pet stores.

I have a huge amount of fry from my breeding pair of platies and mollies and have as of now only dealt with livebearers. Have a very good success rate of raising the fry as of the 150+ that I have had over the past 3/4 months have only lost 4.

Is raising goldfish fry similar to raising livebearers ??

Any help or suggestions would be great.

I think that a good book to have is GOLDFISH by brewster/fletcher...it shows how to make homemade breeding mops and lots of other helpful thigns dealing with breeding goldfish
