ok I have a bubble eye I though he was a guy. well, newho I just bought 2 little orandas! well the bigger of the 2 is now chasing my bubbies like the viedo the mateing viedo. I am not sure if bubbies is old enough plus the fact the boy (doesn't have a name yet) is being very mean like he is following him around and bumping him like in the viedo but now his is nibbing at his bubbles. I don't mind having babies, but I don't want my bubbies to be hurt!!

PLEASE HELP!!! ASAP!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!

If you have the chance to get one of those containers with lots of holes in it, that would work perfectly to separate the bubble eye from the ambitious oranda at the moment. I find those containers in the dollar stores, or Walmart, and the good thing about them is that they float, and you have the fish save inside, while he still profits from the tank filtration and circulation.
If you can't find a container like this at the moment, you can just put the bubble eye in a separate container until tomorrow, and then find a tank divider or the above mentioned container.
Good luck with your rowdy crowd.... smile.gif

Do they always need to be separated?
Ranchugirl
Well, that depends on the fish itself - some calm down after a "time out" period, while others just don't get the hint. Thats why quite a few of us here have separate tanks for male and females.... smile.gif

Has the oranda calmed down somewhat today?
Tazz Knight
both the male and the female need time to chill out and slow their rolls...lol

how are things going with them as of late?
