I have a bag of water conditioner the brand is "Show master"
I have not used it yet as Im not sure what it does.
All it says on the pack is to add 1teaspoon per 10gal
It does not say what it does or what it removes from the water.
It looks like blue crystals.

Does this work the same as a water ager?
Curently I use Tri-start by Wardly to removie chlorine and chlorimine out of my tap water and use baking soda for my PH.
My Tri-start is nearly finished so will this conditioner replace it? or is it useless?

It's vital aquarium salts (about 8 different kinds) with a tiny amount of methylene blue.

I use it on my goldfish at the rate of half a teaspoon per 8l (which is the size of my waterchange bucket) and they love it. Melbourne water is very soft.

It doesn't remove any chlorines, ammonias or heavy metals so you still need to treat the water.

If I were you, I'd try using the salts and reducing the baking soda.

I recently picked up something fairly industrial looking called "Water Ager CN" distributed by Biotech Restoration PL and it is so concentrated that it looks like it might last me forever. I bought it from a very impressive aquarium, Bunarong in Frankston... and they had a one foot London heart-tailed shibunkin there too!

Thanks for the answer Yabbie.

So with this blue salt stuff help raise the hardness of my water? That would be good.
I am getting a test kit for hardness hopefully today to find out exactly what the level is.

I do have a bottle of their Water Ager ST. It says it removes Chlorine, Chloramine, Light Ammonia and heavy metals. Its made by Biotec aswell smile.gif It says for higher chlorine amonia and metal removal use the CN variety.
It came with my tank but I have not used it yet as there is no use-by date but the lady that sold me the tank used it so I guess its still good.
It actually sounds better then the Tri-Start as Tri-start does not remove amonia or heavy metals, however you have to use alot of it compared to Tri-start.

If you need to raise hardness, I'd fine something with just calcium and magnesium in it with no methylene blue.
