I just put my pleco into my 55 gal tank. I had him in quarenteen for about a month, and he was ready to go into my goldie tank. But he is eating like constantly, and there is about a 10 inch long poo huh.gif The floor and back wall of the tank is completely algae filled, so I'm wondering if it is possible for plecos to eat too much and die or anything? He is a choclate albino pleco, and only about 3 inches long. Thanks!

No, I don't think it would be possible for him to overeat on algae. He will have your tank clear of algae in a hurry!

awesome!
he's been eating non stop since I put them in there ! I had been letting the algae grow freely for about a month or so, so it will keep him busy for a while. The downside to that is that now there are piles and piles of poo from him that need sucked out ignore.gif

Yes, plecos are actually quite dirty fish sad.gif I'm not saying that is a mean way, but whenever I clean under the driftwood where my plecos hang out, there is lots and lots of poop under there.
