I've been longing to get a tank for some female bettas. How many should I put together and how much room do they need? Do they like lots of hiding places similar to their male counterparts?
thanks!

From what I understand:
A good tank for 5-6 females is a 10 gallon heavily planted tank, and all the bettas should be added at once. Also, you should keep at least 4 together to keep them from beating up too much on one fish.
I have always wanted to see an all female tank....they sound so pretty!

That is what I suspected... <sigh> I will have to wait until we get a house, not nearly enough room for another 10 gallon in the apartment.... My hubby said the only think I can even consider getting is another 2.5 gallon for a betta. And I don't want to just get one female and keep her alone, since I was pretty sure all the females need to be introduced to the tank at the same time to prevent fighting.
So many things need to wait until we get a house.... a bigger goldie tank, a female betta tank, a puppy, anything that requires making a hole in the wall (i.e. paintings). Sigh....
Thanks Andy!
