I have made a few posts about my water not cycling. For three weeks I was getting no Ammonia Nitrite or Nitrate Readings. The test kit I bought came with Four tests and I only read the directions for testing PH. I did not read that for Ammonia Nitrite and Nitrates you have to wait 5 minutes for the color to become active. I was adding the drops to the test tube then shaking then tossing before color developed, I feel like such an idiot. Ammonia was on 6.0.
I done a massive water change 80% then over the next few days smaller ones 20%. I now have 0.25 Ammonia and 0.5 Nitrite 0 Nitrates and KH is 7. I also bought a second tank 20g and seperated Goldies from Danios. The three goldies now Have a 30g tank to themselves. Must read from now on.
