I currently have a 30 gallon with tetras, neons, danios, rasboros, african dwarf frogs, and 1 german ram. I tried to put in an angel fish but i think the ram nipped at her so much she died. I was thinking gouramis, will these be compatible? I want 2 larger fish, show fish of the tank. It is a tv tank, an old tv/stereo i ripped out guts and put my 30 gallon in it, which fit perfectly. I have plants in there, planning to get some more. What kind of lighting do i need, i know i don't have the right light, just a plant light from the lfs. I only have one hood for a light. If I need two what kind of setup do i need, a glass top? but i need a hole in there to feed the fish. I just don't want to be trying to cut into the glass. Is there plastic that would work that would be easier to cut if i have to and will not melt with the lighting? I know alot of questions but i need better lighting for the plants.

Which country are you from?
Giving what you currently have and assuming you have basic filtration i would say you are pretty much at your stocking level.
But at a squeeze maybe a paradise fish or a type of gourami but nothing more and you must remember to quarantine any new arrival.
For the lighting and such maybe best to post about that in the DIY forum.
