ha, he's cute. don't think i've ever seen them in any petstores. what are they like?

their tiny (full grown 1 inch) brackish water carnivores. alot of places sell them fresh water, but they wont last long that way... need salt. Mine LOVE frozen brineshrimp and blood worms... and will hunt mollie fry, but I havnt seen them catch anything yet. (but the last time I put fry in there, the gobies were about the same size!)

I just adore them.. their supposed to be shy, but mine are right out front, demanding food. biggrin.gif

smile.gif sounds like yours have some real personality. hunting molly fry, lol. i looked 'em up in the encyclopedia after posting, it said they can use their fins to attach to stuff? very cool.

one of these days i'll have to look into setting up a saltwater aquarium. thanks for the info!

yep! they do have a suctoin cup fin.

and the bee's are brackish, not salt wink.gif (run it like fresh water but add 1-2 TBSP of salt per gallon of water)

ah, even easier.

na, i got an empty aquarium right now, jen wants set up as salt water (so she can have one of those lil-nemo fish). so i'd just have to pick one of the salt water kinds i guess.

I don't have any, but I think they are cute! I saw one in the "misc fish tank" for 79 cents. It was basically a bunch of baby fish. The goby was about 1/2" and it was in mostly with 1/4" mollies and guppies x_X It was very outgoing too.

Petco has some bumblebee gobies here now. Last time I was in there I sat and watched one chase around a platy fry for a few minutes before the goby lost track of it LoL They are so cute and I'd love to have some one day!
