Well, I gave in today and got another betta. I hadnt planned on getting another betta again, but a couple weeks ago when I went to take my garbage out to the dumpster, someone set a 2.5 gallon Hex out there, with the air pump, rocks, plants everything. The water in it was pretty gross, and there was a dead betta in it but I brought it in, cleaned it out, and it looks brand new again. I wasnt sure if I was even going to use it, but today I saw the cutest betta, and I had to get him! I havent named him yet, as a good name hasnt popped into my head yet.. any suggestions? Hes really pretty. His body his a pale pastel purple, and his fins are pastel pink with alittle bit darker pink dots on them, and alittle but of pastel blue streaks through his fins. VERY PRETTY. Anyhow, I tried gettnig a good shot of him, which you cant see his colors as good through the camera, the light is rather bright and kinda washes things out, but here he is!

Aw I love his little blotches in his tail. Lucky (and sad) find on the tank. He looks like a Pepper, but that's just me.

It was pretty sad how I came across the tank. It was sitting there, with brown algea covering the sides, and the water was brown and icky, it was filled with water, so i dumped it out before i brought it in, and when i went to dump the rocks in the garbage, i realized there was a dead betta in it. I dont understand how someone could do that

that's a sad story, but you've got a great fish! looks like my smooches except mine is red. i named mine smooches cause i thought the little red spots looked like a lot of female betta's kissed him pepper is a cute name too, and maybe speckles

Yeah! Congrats on the new fish - very sad how it all started but you have changed the karma now - and it is a happy ending! I like the name Pepper, too!
