It might be parasites. I didn't have anymore than those symptons when I lost Angel. I would use parasite meds. Jungle is a really great brand. It treats for internal and external.

personally, i would, just to be safe. remember to take the carbon out of your filter.
so ya know, kelvin should be safe if it is parasites, they're especially immune to parasite infection.

Danios need to be in groups and are skittish when kept singly. I wouldnt treat unless other fish were darting.

The worse thing that you can do ,is treat with Meds before you really know what the problem is.All the questions have to be asked first=What is the ph/how long has the tank been set up/is it cycled/what are the nitrates/etc...... Is he your only Danio? How many fish/What kind of fish? should also be asked.

right devs. in looking back at my post when i said i would just to be safe, i wasn't refering to treating for parasites just to be safe; i meant more once you've diagnosed it's parasites that you may want to consider treating the tank to be on the safe side. i should've made that clearer, so i apologize.
darting around is just one symptom of several different fishy ailments, each of which would require different treatments. ich treatments with malachite green and/or methylene blue, while affective, can rob aquariums of benneficial bacteria; and therefor should be used only when you're certain of the problem. and of course removing the carbon from the filter during treatment brings a whole other set of possible problems.
whirlwind, any improvement in ur fish (as well as answers to dev's questions)??

oh sorry

, i was just checking your sig to find out what other fish you might've had in there.
so glad to hear your danio's doing better! i hope he keeps improving; sandy's prolly right though. do you notice if he *schools at all w/ any other fish in the tank, just out of curiosity?
also, thanks sandy + devs for stepping in and helping me correct my post before the tank got medicated. i certainly won't make that mistake again.
