Well, I'd like to know if my new fishy is a boy or a girl. It's hard to tell because it wiggles a lot when it swims and I think the fish is too small to tell. Is there anyway to tell when it's this small?
d_golem
how small is it exactly, anic? can u tell us the breed & size of it (excluding the tail)?

cheers

I agree with d_golem...would need to know what you have?

Well, I found this on one of her hearlier posts:

QUOTE
I went to town to buy a snail for my tank and ended up buying a gold fantail. He is so tiny. The last time I went into that particular store, he was there, too, all by himself. He's a little less than an inch long.

So I'd say probably too small. But that's okay. I named my fish Arthur a month ago and I'm now relatively sure she's a girl... biggrin.gif
Anic
Yeah, it's a little one inch gold fantail. Including the tail, it's one inch.
d_golem
hueuh one inch blink.gif very small indeed. no way anyone can accurately tell the gender biggrin.gif but maybe have a look at the body, if it's rounder, than it maybe a girl.
Anic
The belly is really rounded, sort of long-looking on it's sides. But yeah, rounded. Almost looks like it should float!
