Does anybody have a tank with a rockbottom? (Not gravel) I'm really interested in decorating my new tank with rocks, I'd like to see one before I start. Thanks!

I don't have the bottom of my tanks covered completely with rocks, only partially. I use the river rocks from the craft store, as well as big and smaller pieces of what looks like quarz. Arranged them in groups on the bottom, which btw. is painted in different shades of blue/green from the underside.
Inbetween the rocks/quarz I either wedged some silk plants, or put them in terra cotta pots.

I also use river rocks from craft stores in my tropical tank. I do have aquarium gravel under them, only because I use live plants. I really like the look, here's a link to a pic

Oh Yes, I think you will like your tank without gravel!! I SURE DO!! I removed mine a few weeks ago & really like it. I like the look AND how much easier it is to keep clean. I have big rocks & some stones! I have plants too. I put one in a tiny terra cotta pot that is cute (Gonna get more!) I hold the plants down by anchoring them in between two rocks!

I also use large river rock (with the small pebbles underneath for my plants). I really like the look of it. My link on my siggi shows some pictures of the tank with the river rock.
