I've always had a problem with green water in my 47 gal. I've tried extra small water changes, turning off the light and covering the tank for several days. Nothing works. I tried the algae treatments but I won't use them anymore because they made my fish act funny. The other tanks don't have this problem; only this tank. The fish don't seem to mind but I just hate it. sad.gif

Daphnia in a breeder net or a UV unit would clear it in short order.

I got rid of green water in 2 of my tanks usig 2 different methods.

In my 55g, I got a uv that zapped it all in 3 days.

In my 29g, I starved the fish for a few days and changed about 90% of the water every day for about 3 days.

Strange, both treatments took about 3 days!?! The uv was easier, but more expensive. smile.gif

Thanks, I didn't know anything about uv sterilizers. I will have to look into that. If I can get some Daphnia I will try that first. Thanks again. smile.gif
