Kind of a shocker for me yesterday, went in to feed me ryukins yesterday morning...nothing unusual they were all swimming about. I went back in the room around 2p.m or so and saw that there were eggs in my tank!! Most of them I assume had been eaten because there were only a handful left sticking to the plants. I don't know which one did it either!! huh.gif I haven't had them more than a year yet. I'm not sure what has caused this and I know that there hasn't been a change in diet or water temperature. Anyone else have any ideas?? Thanks! wav.gif

Well, there are all kind of things that can induce egg laying - most common one is change in water temperature, or a low pressure system going by, although pond fish would notice the effect much easier, I suspect. Maybe a change in diet to a more high protein food, or a new female fish you might have bought gets the males moving..... smile.gif

Yeah, it would have been nice if I had some little young ones swimming aroung, but I wan't even expecting them to lay eggs in the first place! blink.gif
