Oh my Sandy they are so tiny! Congratulations on the new arrivals.

Do Angelfish have any special maternal qualities? Obviously they are not like goldies or they would eat the babies.
sandy
Like all cichlids they will defend and care for their young. She even attacks me when i feed them laugh.gif

Thanks Annette, they are soooooooo cute!!

Jeepers, I didn't even realise they were cichlids! That sort of behaviour would be something to see. smile.gif

I would dearly love a tropical community tank but I honestly have no room, unless I venture into the bedrooms which hubby says is a no-no.

I am trying not to buy anymore goldfish so that one day, due to natural attrition, I will have an available tank. Not a pleasant thought really. So one the one hand I would really like tropicals, on the other hand I hope I have my goldfish for a long time to come. Catch 22. rolleyes.gif

rolleyes.gif Theyve been doing the old mating ritual, with the lip locking, etc. But I haven't seen anymore eggs.Tell you the truth, they havent laid eggs since I started doing more frequent water changes because of the dirtball Plec's! laugh.gif They like that lower ph,and all those water changes have brought it up a little higher than usual. With all these Bristlenose babies, maybe thats a good thing. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
