Gold Ryu
Just wondering if i can add anything with them.
tinkerbell
there isnt alot that you can put with bettas, but i have found that my little guy got on perfectly in my goldie tank, and also with my angels for a short period of time. smile.gif

Ok, can snails work?I saw the cutest one at the petshop.
Gold Ryu
And how about minnows or tetras?
touchofsky
How big is your tank?
Gold Ryu
It's about a gallon bowl.Is that enough?Or should i get a bigger one?
touchofsky
You would need something bigger to add other fish. Also, a lot of bettas will pick on snails. I have some small ramshorns in my betta tanks and they seem to do OK, but the bettas will eat all of the eggs and the young snails, so they don't reproduce in the betta tanks.

My Betta did good in my goldie tank until he got stuck to the filter.
Gold Ryu
How about ghost shrimps in a one gallon bowl with my betta.? THanks for the replies.
Chishower
He will try to eat just about anything you put in there. Just keep him by himself, he will be much happier.
Gold Ryu
Ok then thaxs. smile.gif

I agree with Chishower. In a small container, a betta does much better on their own. They are territorial fish.

I have kept bettas (both male and female) in community tanks, but the tanks have been at least 20 gallons and they have been decorated with lots of hiding spots (small caves, driftwood, rock formations) and heavily planted.

why not try planing it nicely so that it doesnt look so empty? i always works for me. smile.gif
