My moms Betta, Esy, is sick! And I havnt a clue with what! she looks like she has cateracts.. not cloudy eye, its only on the pupil! very strange! and now she has little patches of what kinda looks like body fungus, but its not raised, and doesnt really look like velvet.

and now this morning she isnt using her right pec. fin, and it almost looks like the skin is ripped around it... I have been treating her with pimafix, but may switch to bettamax.... I have a snail in with her, which I'll prolly take out.. and its a 2.5 gallon, filtered, 70% water changes a week, been running for over a year.

Hmmm....that's very unfortunate! If you have a good fish store around you, sometimes they will diagnose your poor fishies! If you can post some pics, maybe some other folks here can help! *hugs*

sounds like a bacterial infection.

I work for the "good" fish store within driving distance... and Im the sick fish "expert" (even though I havnt a clue! everything I know I get here!)
