This is also a follow up to previous postings. I finally received the interpet swim bladder treatment from Europe and I am following the instructions. However, it says to add the treatment every four days and add a high concentration of salt initially. I transferred the water from my main tank to a smaller 5 gallon tank and started the treatment. The water quality was fine and I removed the carbon from the filter. My question is this, what do I do about water changes while I am treating? Should I do normal water changes and compensate with more salt and medication after the change? The instructions say that it may take four applications and I don't think the water quality will be so good after 16 days.
By the way, for all the people who helped me previously, thanks. My oranda has improved greatly over the last week. She swims around. Barks at me when he is hungry. All the normal things they do. The only difference is that she is upside down and can't swim to the bottom. I'm hoping the interpet medication will do the trick.

Though I've never dealt with swimbladder or interpet (why am I answering then you ask?), I would make an educated guess to do a substantial water change after each 4 day treatment....you know, in between subsequent treatments. That's what most meds I've used have instructed.
