i all i am getting some black widow tetra and i would like to no if any one else has thez fish if so what are they like to keep have you ever breed them

I have four and they nip other fishes fins, so keep them with other fast tetras. As i only got a small group its best to get at least 6.
They are shy when you first get them and dont always school, mine are hardly ever together unless they are scared.
I have 1 male and 3 females. The males are small and skinny and when they breed they flash against each other.
If you want to breed them then they need a tank to themselves and once settled will breed every fortnight. For the young to survive you will need to remove the adults.

i was thinking of just keeping thez fish i have a 21 gal tank do you no how much of thez fish i could get

I reckon you could fit a dozen in and be ok for growth.

I had seven of them for awhile in my 10 gallon tank, but a couple of days ago one died and now they're in a 55 with a few goldfish (I know, not a good idea for too long, but I plan on getting a 29 or 20L for them and some others soon).

In the time I had them, I really didn't notice much growth at all, and three of those fish I've had for over a year. I wouldn't expect them to get too much bigger than they are when you buy them.

are yours any bigger then 2 and a half inch

and if there all in a 10gal tank they would not grow much
