Hi! I got a new betta for a week now and was wondering what their ideal water temp is? PH?

He is in a 3 gal Eclipse. Apparently my tank has not cycled fully so I have been doing daily water changes to keep Nitrites from getting too high. So far I have not been successful at keeping it at 0; the lowest was at 0.5 ppm. Can I do 20-30% water change 2x a day(AM & PM) if my Nitrites reach 5 ppm? What if it's between .25 to 3 ppm can I just do once a day? I use AquaSafe to condition the tap. Ammonia levels were at 0 today. He's the only one in the tank. I feed him Betta Bites(4 pellets) once a day.

You can do two 20-30% water changes a day to keep the nirities down. Ideal temps are between 78-89*F, pH is much like goldies 6.0-7.0 is generaly pretty decent.
