There a few different things you can use. I tried the net but it got weighed down with leaves and broke - I have a lot of trees. I made something for mine. I bought five 2x2x8 boards and nailed them together in a squared with one in the middle for support and covered it with chicken wire. The size all depends on your pond. I also use this in the summer when it gets really hot and prop it up higher than water level so their is air circulation and cover it with a tarp for shade. It's not pretty but it works.

spit.gif My husband had a graet Idea. he used deer net and PVC pipe and made a dome shaped tent like cover. It will be easy to take apart next spring too ( for storing) thanks for the info. It helped alot.
