so what is a good thing for bio media?

You certainly can do just that. Regent and Penguin are made in the same warehouse in the same "cheap labor" country. They are branded different names and different lids. Penguin gets the bio-wheel, regent got sold to walmarts....


In the pic below, the lid with the cutout is the regent modified for the bio-wheel. The one with the full hood is the penguin 170's lid.
