I am breeding my Halfmoon Pair! The last few trys were unsuccessful...1. The father ate the fry. <_< 2. The Father ate the eggs 3. I dropped the lid in the tank and squished the eggs.

I get all my bettas on aquabid and am hoping to sell a few. Right now the female is flaring at the male and the male is workinf on his bubble nest. I think their behavior is so cute.

Aw sorry it hasnt worked out yet. The father ate the fry!? Bad betta father! Doesnt he know hes supposed to protect them? LOL Anyway I really hope you get some nice halfmoons. I know that even when you breed a pair you dont get many halfmoons but I hope you get some nice bettas out of this group. Post pics when you can!

Bravo on your betta pair! I really wish I could have some more of those betta they sell on Aquabid! It seems the asian sellers have the best looking ones, dont you think? My pair of red HM came from Thailand, and I will set up a tank for them tomorrow as well!
Its so cute to see those little eggs turn into something swimming, and I always feel sorry for the poor male chasing after the little guys to put them back into the bubble nest, just to see them swim away again as soon as he turns his back!
