This may sound funny but I like to name my pets after Shakespeare characters. Since its a boy, how about Sebastion or Romeo?

I voted for Charlie! I like that name, it was my grandpa's name. If I ever get enough room for another fish, as long as he is sweet and calm, then I think Charlie would be a perfect name for him.

BTW - copper oxidizes to get a green patina - just so you know it is not corroding! Otherwise, it would not be a safe roof over your head... I just would not want the analogy to be missed and FF to think you mean fish looks corroded!

I just couldn't decide on a name, so I called him Blue....if I find a different name that I like more...I guess I might change it...Well, Blue is a very nice name anyway!!!

I was thinking something along the lines of water myself.
I also liked the suggestion Titan. For some reason, Titan brings a picture of a guy in blue in my mind.
Then again, you can keep him named Blue, after all, I named my betta Red. Heh.

I thought of Azul when I looked at him (pronounced Azool), which means blue in Spanish.

But I also like Blue, Coral, Poseidon and Titan! Very pretty fish!

Going with the blue theme, what about adding on to the name such as Blue Tide or Blue Velvet or Cool Blue or Blue Boy (BB for short)? Or a shade of blue, such as Sapphire?

Okay this poll is like 10 months old so I think Fish Fanatic has probably found a name already....maybe a mod should lock this thread. Everytime someone votes it bumps back up to the top and its getting a little annoying.

I always go by appearance and personality.

My Red veiltail is called Ragman mainly due to his poor appearance when I got him he's come along a lot since then tho.

My Blue Female is called Blue Thunder her name was down to both appearance and personality.The thunder part came about because she kept trying to crash her way out of the bag on way home from LFS it was amusing she has one fiery temper.

Yup personality should factor into it. However just saying that, when I got home from the store with ginseng his named just popped into my head

I like Ginseng and I also like the name Ruby since he has ruby red eyes.

I haven't had a betta for many years but my favorite name is "Much". Much Betta.
