I'm sooo happy! happydance.gif I just got back from the pet store and I saw a bristle nosed pleco. I've been looking for one for months now, since I removed my common that attacked my fish. The algae in my tank is becoming a problem and I miss having a pleco in there so much! The thing is, he was in a tropical tank, can he handle the temperature drop of moving into my goldie tank?? I think he can, just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

if you acclimate him, he will be fine

from what ive read so far, bristlenose can tolerate a wide range of temp, so he should be ok as long as u let him get used to the temp first exactly.gif

Excellent, this guy is going to have a feast when he gets into my tank! laugh.gif

No problem at all, as the others have mentioned. Both of the bristlenoses that I have bought have been in tropical tanks in the stores, but made the move to my unheated goldfish tanks without any trouble at all. Good luck, and please let us know when you get the little guy smile.gif

I'm glad you got one. They are the best little algae eaters around, imo biggrin.gif
