Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with my fish, he seems to have something that looks like white spot but with threads coming of them. He is eating well but occasionally ends upside down on the top of the water. I have seen whitespot before but this is something different. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Is it like a thread or a stick? It could be anchor worm--if that is the case, it will need to be pulled out with tweezers. Here is a link about gf diseases and a photo of anchor worm.

Thanks for replying so quickly, but the spots and threads or on the fins not on the body area at all.

My fish had this,i forget what the medication is
called just ask at your local petshop or fish
store they should know wha it is exacly if not you
