Hey all-

My snails finally arrived! I ordered them from Shannon (Rog) on applesnail.net about two weeks ago. She said they'd arrive on Friday.. they didn't.. then Saturday.. no snails.. then Sunday.. no mail.. and finally today they came!

I ordered 6 snails. I received 10, all alive. They are a mix of Insularum, Cana, and Salton Sea snails. I can't quite tell the species apart yet cause they're all rather similar but as soon as I can get pics I will be figuring it out.

No pics yet, cause both my camera's batteries are dead.

Most arrived with damage, unfortunately. A few have large chunks in the front of their shells missing, some have flakes of new growth coming off, one has a smashed operculum, and several have pieces of the operculum missing. A few have pieces of their feet torn off. But all are alive and moving around so I'm happy.

Yipee!! new snaily's are fun!! They are soo darn cute too. I never thought I would think of a snail as cute but I do now.
I am still awaiting the arrival of my snails from Heather but due to weather it's taking awile to get em......

Snails are so cute.. you're right. I got my first snail over a year and a half ago.. I love them.

Congrats on the new snails...sorry about the damage though. I like the mixed colors of your gravel. I never would've thought I would think of snails as "cute" either! Now I have a tank dedicated to them Who woulda thunk?
