Ok...I was watching my two guppys.. both girls and they are both pregnant in a 10 gallon tank ... and one of them was biting te other ones tail and like scaring it away and being really mean to it..And the other guppy isnt doing anything ..just getting close to it. So is she fixin to give birth ?? i separted the mean one in a net breeder in the tank . But i have had her only 5 days. And i dont think she was pregnant be4 then .. she might have been but i dont think she was... So shoukd i leave her in there until morning? PLEASE HELP

I would suggest getting more guppys as they like to fin nip each other, and that way it will spread out the aggression between them. you will find that a lot of fish with flowy tails will get bitten even by their own kind as they see the tail as something to eat.

Sandy is correct, a larger number of guppies spreads the aggression around. Also, providing lots of plants is a good idea, so the guppies can get away from each other when they want to. Also, it will give the fry a place to hide.

may i suggest green cambomba (sp?) as a plant that would be well suited. it is very hardy and also quite dense. so it provides alot of shelter.
