I'm pretty sure it's a onion plant.A bulb is a onion shaped plant part from which some plants grow.Like tulips and lilies. They grow from bulbs.Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

You can rub the leaves under some warm water to clean it. Plants dont do so well in a bleach solution.

I just keep it in another container and just add some salt and observe it for a while. You don't have to i just do it to be sure it's safe.

Oooohh careful with the snails. I'd be scared the plant may still have teeny snails or eggs or something. I got a plant with snails once (didn't know) and found a billion of them in my filter box! I had to strip it down cause of the snails. It sucked.

when i set up my new tank i put a few plants in and there was only one snail in there (that i could see) them after a few weeks wile i was waiting for the nitro cycle to compleat, i took a look and there were 6 snails!! there were eating chunks out my nice new plants, so i got some black moors and they took care of the job for me!! killing snails, i give only live food to my fish they look better for it!!
