whats the lowest temperature they can take? anyone got one in an unheated tank ? i would like to know what the temperature is in the tank please.

I have 2 in separate tanks. It's winter here and the tanks are unheated, currently at 18C/64F. That's the lowest the temp has been so far, don't think it will fall further, it didn't last year.
edit: I have read different suggestions about preferred pH. Most sites recommend neutral or slightly acidic. One site said neutral to high 7's. My tanks are in the mid 7's and they do fine. I think they are very adaptable and hardy fish.

I also keep one of mine in an unheated tank, but the lowest the temperture has dropped is 68 f.

when the temp in my tank gets lower my bristlenose changes the color spots from blackish gray to a golden color. lowest the tank has goten is 70 F

I have one in a tank that is 82F the other is in a non heated tank at 68F to 74F. They both do just fine

The coldest My tank's gotten was 13 * celsius. The fish simply slowed down. They were fine, just rather eager to breed when the water warmed up.
