i hav a 280L tank and i was just wondering an 0.3% solution of salt would equal 2 840grams of salt. that seems 2 b alot of salt for a freshwater tank. is this really the correct amount? the ich seems to b still in its early stages so id like to put the salt in asap. just have 2 make sure the amount is really right

3 grams (aquarium salt) per litre would reap you a 0.3% salt solution.

You can raise the temp up to 4 degrees (F) per day. No more. It must be done over the course of 8-12 hours. You might be able to get away wioth doing it faster but this is all I would recommend.

Good luck and I hope you get that ich knocked out really quick! smile.gif

I forgot to tell you that you should raise the heat to 80-82 degrees ONLY after you have reached the 0.3% solution.

Good luck! biggrin.gif
