Do you have to fast your fish?I feed mines every day.Or you only have to fast them if they're are constipated or sick.

Fasting is when you starve them.

Some people fast once a week, just in cae they are over feeding, some don't it is purley your own choice.

i don't fast weekly, only when they need to be if sick

I only ever fast when my oranda has swim bladder troubles, or when they are constipated.

if my goldfish have SBD i will use the fasting method or feed them some pea's

Like others said, some fish keepers fast their fish weekly, such as on Sunday. But I only have done it if they showed signs of SBD--then after a day of fasting, I fed peas--sometimes constipated goldfish will flip over. It is not really SBD but has the same symptoms so fasting will cure it.

I feed mine everyday too, usually twice a day, sometimes only once. It is best not to overfeed even though goldies beg for food--that is a natural thing for them--to beg and act starved.
