I was just curious how long to bettas typically live? I've had my guy going on three years now and would like to know their average life span. Thanks!

Yup, they average 3-5 years but some go as long as 7. It's all in water quality and diet.

yes.. 3-5 is usually the average, but remember their usually about a year old when you purchese them...

I had 2 bettas live around 5 years. I kept both of them in one of those little betta hexs, not together though and cleaned them out like once a week. That was years ago though, now I have one that Ive had for about 4-5 months in a 2.5 gal
